The compassionate caregivers at The Oaks were a blessing to them during his illness and when Von eventually passed away, Gloria was grateful for a close-knit community of support and friendship. “It’s an extended family. I have my children of course, but the caregivers, staff and friends here have become an extended family and made this my home.”

In her role as a medical technician, she’s happy to help out in any way she can. “We’ve really found that by working together, laughing, smiling and having fun with the residents, it doesn’t really feel as much like work. It really feels just like taking care of family.”
